Introduction

2,000 VSO volunteers are working together with local colleagues and communities throughout the developing world and eastern Europe.

Our country profiles provide a snapshot overview of VSO's programmes, placing the work of volunteers into the context of the development needs and priorities of each country. Extracts from volunteers' reports show what life as a volunteer is really like, and feedback from local partners gives the employers' perspective of working with volunteers.
