VSO Mondelēz Internation Cocoa Partnership, Ghana

Prince is a youth volunteer in Ghana, who speaks to young people about the potential cocoa farming has to offer them a secure livelihood. He passes on what he has already learnt through the Mondelēz International Cocoa Partnership. Soon he will begin hosting training sessions so that young people can learn about cocoa farming techniques.

Education for all

Nuria, 15, is a student at Wungu School which is part of Ghana's Tackling Education Needs Inclusively (TENI) programme. Its aim is to improve the retention and performance of more than 50,000 school children in northern Ghana and also improve women’s income so they are better able to support their children to go to school.

Local organisations

Our volunteers work through 1,048 local organisations in over 30 countries. These include schools, hospitals, business co-operatives, community associations and national governments that have specifically asked for our help.

Working with local organisations ensures a sustainable approach to fighting poverty. Joint planning and local ownership results in the most beneficial outcomes for the communities we aim to help.
