Community Action Programme

World Trade Fair, Abergavenny

Your ‘community’ can be anyone you want it to be: colleagues, faith groups, Diaspora groups, local societies and schools or even just your friends and family. Whoever you choose, the Active Communities Team can offer plenty of exciting opportunities.

Action Speakers

Action Speakers are trained to deliver key information about development, key global issues and the work of VSO.
Whether you're a returned volunteer looking to share your experiences in a wider context or you're new to development but want to know more so you can get others involved we'd love for you to join our network.

New training workshops will be taking place in London on 12 June and in Birmingham on 5 June. Simply complete and return our Training Booking Form below to reserve a place or contact the team for further information.

Alternatively if you'd like a speaker to come to your community group or event then please complete and return our Audience Booking Form or contact the team on 020 8780 7235

DFID Community Linking Programme

VSO is part of the consortium delivering this exciting new initiative that offers funding and support to community groups in the UK that have a link with a group in Africa, Asia, Latin America or the Caribbean.

The programme is currently under development and therefore over the next month we are running a survey to find out as much as possible about existing links in the UK and what additional support they would like for their link.

If you have a link please do complete the survey and take this unique opportunity to assist us in shaping a programme that meets your needs.
