Fundraising toolkit
Fundraising is all about asking people for support. Contacts in your family, workplace, social circles and local community are key to making your fundraising easy and successful. You’ll be amazed at how many contacts you have and the possible ways they can help. Remember to keep your fundraising interesting and fun, so there’s something in it for your donors.
What you can do
The most important thing about fundraising is to choose an activity you'll enjoy. Have a look through our A-Z of Fundraising below, to inspire you. Fundraising doesn't have to be a huge commitment. Why not incorporate it into activities you'd be doing anyway, like holding a birthday party, summer barbeque or coffee morning.

Support
Our dedicated Community Appeals team is here to support you. They have helped many supporters and volunteers to achieve their fundraising target with lots of fun along the way. Contact the Community Appeals team at volunteer.fundraising@vso.org.uk
Set up your Justgiving page
Justgiving allows you to create your own web page about you and your event. You can personalise it as much as you like and it only takes five minutes to set up. You can include a message to your supporters, a photograph and even a 'totaliser' to keep track of how you are doing. See the Justgiving website for more information.
Gift Aid
Using Gift Aid means that for every £1 you give, VSO will currently receive an extra 28p from the Inland Revenue. Find out more about Gift Aid.
Resources
We have a selection of online tools to help you plan a successful and enjoyable fundraising activity. If you need any other VSO resource please complete the resource request form below and email it to volunteer.fundraising@vso.org.uk Alternatively you can post it to Community Appeals, VSO, Harborne Hall, Old Church Road, Birmingham, B17 0BE.
