It's all of us together
We can help Make Poverty History by sharing our knowledge, skills and experience with people in the world's poorest countries.
VSO is an international development charity that works through volunteers. And we believe that people working together to find lasting solutions to poverty are as important as aid.
We also believe passionately in empowering local people to participate in their country's development.
In 17 countries across Africa over 700 volunteers are sharing their skills with local colleagues, working with them to find practical ways to ensure the poorest people in the world have access to basic public services.
And VSO may surprise you. Did you realise the average age of a VSO volunteer is now 38 and we have more Africans volunteering in Africa than British people?
