VSO has teamed up with charity partner Global Giving so that your friends can give a gift in celebration. Their gift will help us send health professional volunteers to some of the poorest communities in Uganda.

£10.40 will help VSO fund a doctor working for two days in Uganda

For example, Dr Paul Williams, working in Bwindi Community Hospital has been able to reduce the risk of a mother passing the HIV virus to her unborn child from 50 per cent to just two per cent. In 2008, the hospital saved the lives of 52 babies; that’s one baby a week.
