As a charity we have a number of guaranteed places for those who want to take up the challenge and raise funds on our behalf. The money that you raise will go towards our work over 40 of the world's poorest countries where our volunteers make a lasting contribution in the fight against poverty.
What is involved?
Feel the thrill of racing around Hyde Park Corner without any cars, then past Buckingham Palace, Big Ben and through the beautiful autumn trees in four Royal Parks in the company of 15,000 runners. Last year, intrepid runners raised over £2 million for UK charities and had a great day afterwards at the Brakes Food and Fitness Festival in Hyde Park.
Your training for the race should begin as soon as possible so that you are fully prepared for the big day. We will be on hand to offer you all the support and advice you need in order to make the task a little bit easier.
How much do I have to raise?
We ask you to pledge to raise £400. No deposit will be required. We’ll be on hand to provide all the support you need. You’ll also get:
a fundraising pack
a training programme
a VSO running t-shirt
support in your preparation for the challenge
a crowd of VSO supporters to cheer you on the big day.
Where does the money go?
The money that you raise will go towards our work in over 40 of the world's poorest countries where our volunteers make a lasting contribution in the fight against poverty.
