Health

VSO has ten programmes across Africa and Asia working to improve health services in some of the world's poorest countries.
Our health volunteers come from a variety of professional backgrounds, including doctors, nurses, midwives, health managers and educators and therapists. VSO is improving the quality and availability of healthcare services, by fighting the ill health caused by poverty and strenghtening the skills and capabilities of health professionals in disadvantaged communities.
The roles our health volunteers do are hugely varied and you'll be using your skills in a totally different environment. You could be working alongside colleagues building their capacity to better manage a care facility, or supporting the delivery of urgently needed healthcare.
Volunteering with VSO is a life changing experience, and you'll learn new professional and personal skills that will stay with you for life.
