Youth Operations Coordinator

Through international youth volunteering, Global Xchange builds active global citizens and is committed to working for positive change within communities. Global Xchange runs a number of programmes based around the values of reciprocity, active citizenship and promotes the development of young people. In 2011 and 2012,  Global Xchange will be sending 420 UK young people to volunteer in 12 countries as part of the UK Government’s International Citizen Service (ICS) pilot scheme.

The youth operations coordinator is expected to manage a caseload of applicants to invite to assessment days, and to provide logistical support for returned volunteer events.  The youth operations coordinator will also ensure that all volunteer journey data are updated and ready to integrate into VSO databases.

PDOs will also assist with the logistical aspects of their exchanges such as travel, training and accommodation. In addition, the PDO will provide support to Managers and Programme supervisors for the planning, preparation and delivery of each exchange.
