International Citizen Service
The International Citizen Service (ICS) is a global volunteering experience which supports young people from all backgrounds to make a real difference to some of the world’s poorest people. This initiative was a pilot launched by the Prime Minister in March 2011, and funded by the Department for International Development (DFID), and has already given thousands of young people across the UK the chance to join in the fight against global poverty.
Following a successful pilot scheme, the government recently awarded a contract for 7,000 new ICS volunteer places over the next three years. The first placements will start in July, for 18-25 year olds. If you are interested in applying apply now.
