VSO's vision is a world without poverty in which people work together to fulfil their potential. VSO promotes volunteering to fight global poverty and disadvantage. We work for, and often directly with, disadvantaged people in the poorest countries where we can make a significant contribution.

Currently we have 780 staff working in the UK and internationally across 35 countries, to support our volunteers and help VSO achieve its vision.

Scam email warning

Sometimes scams come to our attention where emails are sent out purporting to be from VSO. For examples, scam emails include offering jobs within our organisation or asking to help us with financial transactions.

Please be aware such scams have nothing to do with VSO. If you receive an email claiming to be from someone at VSO, particularly from a non-VSO email account, that you are uncertain about please contact us on +44 (0) 20 8780 7500 or response@vso.org.uk to verify authenticity.
