Teach English in AfricaEritrea, Ethiopia and Rwanda are amongst the poorest countries in the world. Chronic poverty means that parents can't afford to send all their children to school. In addition, there's a severe shortage of well-trained teachers that can deliver quality education.
All three countries recognise the huge potential of education as a force for change and development. And English Language skills are essential for the countries' participation in the international community.
This is where you come in! We urgently need English Teachers to go to Eritrea, Ethiopia and Rwanda early next year to support vital education initiatives. All placements require you to have a degree plus a PGCE or TEFL, and at least 1-3 years' teaching experience. The majority of volunteer jobs are for 2 years, but a few one-year opportunities also exist.
Teaching English in some of the poorest countries in the world is a challenge - but it gives you the opportunity to make a huge impact whilst gaining valuable training or management experience.
