VSO - Sharing Skills, Changing Lives

    Volunteer jobs

Your skills could help communities in the world's poorest countries

Each year, hundreds of people start rewarding jobs as volunteers in developing countries. Volunteers say they return to their own country equipped with invaluable professional experience, a wealth of memories, and a whole new perspective on life.

    Developing communities need you to:

    • use your professional skills to train and advise colleagues in your area of expertise
    • live and work within the local community, for up to 2 years
    • work creatively and adapt to unfamiliar situations - often with few resources.

To take on this challenge you'll get:

    • a living allowance, accommodation, insurance and flights
    • individually tailored training, support and advice pre-departure
    • networking opportunities with other volunteers
    • support and advice to help you settle in on your return to your home country.
