Coffee, Fairtrade and Rwanda Booklet
The Coffee, Fairtrade and Rwanda booklet, produced by GAS, was inspired by an enlightening visit by VSO volunteers to the Abahuzamugambi Co-operative, Rwanda's only fairtrade coffee exporter.

Coffee, Fairtrade and Rwanda introduces you to some of the people and processes involved in the long chain which results in people around the world enjoying cappuccinos, lattes and instant coffee. The booklet explores the world coffee market and its significance for Rwanda and much of the developing world. It examines how fairtrade fits in and describes how fairtrade is helping the coffee growers of the Abahuzamugambi Co-operative to lift themselves and their community out of the grip of poverty.

Finally, Coffee, Fairtrade and Rwanda concludes with some suggested activities for educating others about fairtrade, in schools and in your local community.
