We have 28 programmes in Africa and Asia that use business and management volunteers. These are mainly within our secure livelihoods programmes.
Volunteer management, business and IT roles
You’ll be helping small-to-medium-sized businesses to develop and grow. That might mean making more money, or it might mean becoming more sustainable. You could also be working with vulnerable groups to ensure that their voices are being heard and that they have access to the same rights as others in their community. You will need a minimum of 3 year experience in your area as well as a relevant degree or other qualifications.
How our volunteer managment, business and IT programmes work
VSO's secure livelihoods programmes help poor people learn the skills to make a decent living. Volunteers with a background in business and IT, and small business development in particular, play a vital part in those programmes. Most of our placements are for 1 or 2 years, although we do occasionally have some short term volunteer roles working on setting up specific projects.
