HIV and AIDS

VSO has 20 programmes working in HIV and AIDS in Africa, Asia, and the Pacific. We fight stigma, prevent transmission, and increase the availability of treatment, care and support for those infected and affected by HIV and AIDS.

Roles

Volunteers working in HIV and AIDS come from a wide range of backgrounds, including healthcare, social and community work, programme management and communications.

Can I volunteer if I have dependent children?

Placing volunteers with dependents can be difficult. Even where it is possible, taking children to a placement can present many additional practical difficulties.
