Youth
VSO knows that young people have the skills and energy needed to make a real difference in the fight against poverty. We run two programmes which aim to put young adults at the centre of efforts to tackle poverty and inequality. You can read more about the options below.
Global Xchange
If you are aged 18–22, you can volunteer on our Global Xchange (GX) programmes.
GX gives volunteers a chance to join other young people to work on important projects in developing countries. We have two GX opportunities to choose from: Youth Xchange and Youth Action, which are 6 months and 3 months long respectively.
GX is now part of International Citizen Service (ICS), a new government backed global youth volunteering programme funded by DFID.
