Job Description
Build capacity of staff in the Special Education Office of Primary Education Department in order to improve the quality of service delivery for primary education and for all aspects of inclusive education as part of the Mainstreaming Inclusive Education (MIE) Project.
Objectives:
- Improve management and planning of staff at Special Education Office
- Support and help implement the Inclusive Education as part of the Fast Track Initiative
- Support and help the development of the monitoring and evaluation of bilingual education
This placement is part of a larger programme called ‘Mainstreaming Inclusive Education’ (MIE) within 6 provinces.
Requirements
Essential qualifications:- At least a Master’s Degree in the field of inclusive education or special needs education.
- Very much familiar with Teaching methodology (i.e. Child Friendly School)
Essential work experience/skills:- 8 years experience in working in the primary education as educational manager
- Experience in Inclusive Education or special needs
- Skills and experience related to monitoring and evaluation or quality assurance.
Desirable:- Experience in working in Bilingual Education
- Management skills
- Experience in Teacher Training
- Ability to cope with frequent travel on poor roads
- Proficiency in IT
Language requirement and language capacity of organisation:
The volunteer will need to commit to studying the pre-departure language resources available on Volzone prior to arriving in Cambodia which will equip him/her with basic vocabulary ready for intensive language training in country. Professional staff have good English. Most administrative staff have some English.
