Job Description
- Planning, implementing, evaluating and improving the quality of nursing care for a maternity ward.
- Supervision of ward management and administration.
- Responsible for training and supervision in obstetrics cases including ante-natal, post-natal and neo-natal care.
- Provide leadership and direction to midwives and other nursing personnel.
- Monitoring, supervising & training midwives and staff on clinical rotation and duties.
Requirements
Essential
- Qualified midwife or Obs/Gynae nurse
- Minimum five years experience in a hospital setting
- Experience managing & training staff – nurses & midwives
- Experience developing & delivering care plans
- Good communication skills
Desirable
- Experience in tropical medicine
Start date and Duration
May 2008, 6 months.
