Education

Higher Education / Vocational Training

Most education initiatives focus on basic and primary education but higher education and vocational training are just as important. Higher education can help to secure better employment and practical skills are needed to ensure that essential services such as healthcare operate more effectively. You might improve curriculum at a university and give lectures in your area of expertise, or develop practical and theoretical lesson plans at a Vocational Training Centre.

Skills needed to volunteer in Higher Education or Vocational Training

For most placements you'll need a degree in a relevant subject or a relevant vocational qualification as well as a minimum of 2 years' experience. For some higher education jobs you may also need a higher qualification such as a master's degree or PHD.
