STEP ONE: Search for opportunities > Fundraiser

VSO is urgently looking for volunteers with fundraising skills to share their expertise with colleagues in local organisations in Zambia, Ghana, Mozambique, Sierra Leone, South Africa and Ethiopia.

You could be working with a wide variety of organisations, such as HIV and AIDS charities or NGOs working to empower women or people with disabilities. You'll built their fundraising skills, develop effective fundraising strategies and maximise their income potential to ensure the sustainability of their vital services.

You’ll need a degree in any subject and at least two years’ relevant professional experience. Knowledge of developing fundraising strategies, writing proposals, donor identification donor management are essential. Your ability to train and capacity build in these areas is also vital.

If you think you have the skills to be a fundraiser, gained through work in grant administration, business development, corporate social responsibility or other related areas, we can provide some training in fundraising so you can take up one of these exciting placements.
