Tourism is growing rapidly in many developing countries and can provide valuable employment opportunities for disadvantaged groups. You can provide good quality teaching and training to ensure that your students and colleagues have the skills to enhance their employment prospects.
Necessary qualifications and experience
HND or degree in hotel and catering or related subject with at least two years experience.
Types of opportunity available
The majority of jobs in hotel and catering management will involve an element of training. We provide courses for those volunteers who have never taken on a training role. You'll be working in vocational training at a university or training college. You will be teaching courses in hospitality and hotel management and often helping to develop course curriculum.
A small number of jobs may involve the running of a small hotel or restaurant while training the staff involved.
